The Wolfbox X5 is one of the better dashcams on the market with almost all possible functions. The Sony Starvis 2 sensor films crystal clear videos and the X5 is extremely user-friendly thanks to the touch screen LCD and voice control. The three cameras film almost everything in and around the car and the parking mode secures your car while you are parking.
What makes the Wolfbox X5 unique are the three cameras that record everything in and around the car. The front dashcam has two cameras. The front 4K camera films everything that happens in front of the car and the FullHD interior camera films the inside of the car. The 2.5K rear camera is connected to the front dashcam with a long cable of 6 meters and records everything behind the car.
The X5 3CH 4K Wifi GPS dashcam comes standard with a 2.5K rear camera. This rear camera is attached to the rear window of the car and records in 2.5K resolution at 30fps. The rear camera is connected to the front dashcam with a long cable (6 meters). No additional power supply is needed for the camera. The images from both cameras are stored separately on the SD card. A 10-meter extension cable is available as an option.
The X5 3CH 4K Wifi GPS dashcam films with very high-quality 4K 3840p resolution at 30fps on the front and FullHD on the inside. The rear camera has a 2.5K resolution. The X5 3CH delivers excellent performance, especially in the dark. The 8.0 Megapixel Sony Starvis 2 sensor in this dashcam guarantees crystal clear videos.
Perhaps the best thing about this Wolfbox X5 is the large and bright 2.35-inch touchscreen LCD. The screen displays live images and settings can be changed. You can also easily watch recorded videos.
The Wolfbox X5 3CH is equipped with superfast 5.8GHz Wifi, allowing for faster video downloads. The Wifi has a range of about 10 meters and the Wolfbox App is available for Android and iPhone phones. Settings can also be easily changed via the App.
The Wolfbox X5 can be operated by means of voice control. The following actions, among others, are supported:
- Lock the video: Save video securely
- Take photo: Take photo
- Turn on/off Wifi: Turn Wifi on or off
- Turn on/off screen: Turn screen on or off
The Wolfbox X5 3CH has a handy automatic time lapse and vibration parking mode to secure the car while parked. In time lapse mode, the camera takes a photo every second, which is later played back as an accelerated 30fps video. Time lapse recordings are slightly less detailed and therefore take up less data on the SD card.
The vibration parking mode ensures that a normal video is recorded in the event of a collision or other vibration. These incidents are therefore recorded in detail.
Please note: To use parking mode, you need to connect to the Wolfbox hardwire kit. Parking mode cannot be turned on or off manually.
The X5 3CH 4K Wifi GPS dashcam has a built-in GPS module. This GPS module displays the speed and also keeps track of the coordinates of the locations filmed. This allows you to use the included software to see exactly where certain recordings were made.
This X5 3CH comes with a 128 GB Micro SD card, good for approximately 12 hours of 4K + FullHD + 2.5K recordings. It supports Micro SD cards up to 512 GB, which means approximately 48 hours of storage.
The body of the X5 3CH 4K Wifi GPS dashcam can be rotated 150 degrees vertically, so it can always be aimed properly at the road.
The X5 3CH 4K Wifi GPS dashcam comes with a handy 3M holder that attaches to the windshield with a 3M double-sided sticker. The camera can be removed from the holder and replaced in one simple movement, making it easy to remove the dashcam from the car.
This X5 3CH 4K Wifi GPS dashcam has a wide-angle lens of 170 degrees on the front and 150˚ on the inside and back.
Place the optional CPL filter on the Wolfbox X5 to prevent harmful and annoying reflections in the image. The filter prevents reflections from the sun and the dashboard, making the videos even sharper.
The X5 3CH 4K Wifi GPS dashcam automatically starts filming when the car is started and stops filming when the car is turned off. So you no longer have to keep an eye on it when it is in the car.
The built-in G-sensor allows the dashcam to detect when you have had an accident. In the event of an impact, images are automatically saved to a secure location so that they are no longer lost. They can no longer be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.
The X5 3CH 4K Wifi GPS dashcam has a built-in microphone so that sound is also recorded. The microphone can also be turned off if desired.
The current time and date are always displayed on the screen so that it can be demonstrated later at what time the recordings in question were made.
This Wolfbox dashcam comes with a handy USB cigarette lighter plug. The plug has an extra USB port so you can still use the cigarette lighter power supply for other devices.
