The Wolfbox G840H is a super stylish and handy 2K + FullHD mirror dashcam and digital rearview mirror in one. The Wolfbox G840H is a dual channel camera with a rear camera. The mirror also functions as a large 12.0 LCD screen. The image from the rear camera is displayed large on the LCD screen so you have a perfect view to the rear.
The Wolfbox G840H records sharp images using high-quality Sony image sensors. The front camera records in 2K resolution at 30fps and the rear camera records in FullHD at 25fps. The rear camera is connected to the front camera with a supplied 6-meter cable. An extension cable of 10 meters is available for longer vehicles.
The Wolfbox G840H 2K is a uniquely designed mirror dashcam and digital rearview mirror in one. The large 12.0-inch mirror also functions as a fully digital LCD screen on which the image from the rear camera can be displayed. The Wolfbox G840H is therefore ideal for vehicles with poor rear visibility. It comes with brackets to place it over an existing interior mirror. A holder for the windshield or for the dashboard is also available as an option for vehicles without an interior mirror.
The Wolfbox G840H is equipped with super-fast 5.8 GHz Wifi. You can use your phone to connect to the camera within range of the camera (+/- 5 meters) via Wifi. You can easily view, download or share videos and change camera settings via the Wolfbox App.
This Wolfbox G840H can support the driver by providing warnings in dangerous situations. A warning will be given in the following situations, if desired:
FCWS: Forward Collision Warning System. This system provides a warning when approaching a vehicle in front at high speed. For example, the system will alarm when a traffic jam forms in front of the car. With a good GPS signal, the current speed is known and the camera can make a good assessment of the situation around the car.
LDWS: Lane Departure Warning System. When the car is in danger of changing lanes on the highway, the camera can give a signal.
PCW: Pedestrian collision warning. Gives a warning when a pedestrian is too close to the car.
The Wolfbox G840H 2K comes with an external GPS receiver that keeps track of the speed and coordinates of the locations where the video was filmed. The GPS displays the current speed on screen and the route traveled can be viewed later with the software on the PC. The external GPS module is easy to conceal thanks to its self-adhesive mounting, making it hardly noticeable.
This G840H comes with a 32 GB Micro SD card, good for approximately 12 hours of 4K + FullHD recording. It supports Micro SD cards up to 256 GB, which means approximately 48 hours of recording.
The Wolfbox G840H can be expanded with handy accessories to make it even better. The optional CPL filter filters out annoying reflections and harmful radiation. A windshield or dashboard mount is also available. Ideal for using the mirror in a camper, van or truck without an interior mirror.
This G840H 2K has a wide-angle lens of 170 degrees in the front camera and 150˚ in the rear camera. This large viewing angle ensures that a large area around the car is recorded so that everything is captured.
The G840H can be operated by means of voice control. The following actions, among others, are supported:
- Lock the video: Save video securely
- Take photo: Take photo
- Turn on/off Wifi: Turn Wifi on or off
- Turn on/off screen: Turn screen on or off
The Wolfbox G840H has a handy automatic time lapse and vibration parking mode to secure the car while parked. In time lapse mode, the camera takes a photo every second, which are later played back as an accelerated 30fps video. Time lapse recordings are slightly less detailed and therefore take up less data on the SD card.
The vibration parking mode ensures that a normal video is recorded in case of a collision or other vibration. These incidents are therefore recorded in detail.
Please note: To use the parking mode, a connection to the Wolfbox hardwire kit is required. The parking mode cannot be turned on or off manually.
The rear camera on this Wolfbox G840H comes with an extra optional power cable. This cable can be connected to the power supply of the reversing lights. If the car is put in reverse, the rear camera is automatically displayed on the LCD screen along with parking lines. Ideal for using the dashcam as a parking aid.
The Wolfbox G840H 2K dashcam automatically starts filming when the car is started and stops filming when the car is turned off. So you no longer have to keep an eye on it when it is in the car. Note that this function only works when the power supply in the car is switched on and turns on and off with the ignition.
The built-in G-sensor detects vibrations and saves the current video in that case. This way you can be sure that the most important recordings are saved on the SD card. They can no longer be overwritten by the loop recording and can only be deleted via PC or by formatting the SD card.
The built-in microphone in the G840H records sound with the videos. The microphone can be turned off if desired.
The current time and date are always displayed on the screen so that it can be shown later at what time the recordings in question were made.
This Wolfbox G840H 2K dashcam comes with a handy car charger with an extra USB port. The extra USB port can be used to charge other devices such as your cell phone.
