The Viofo WM1 is Viofo's latest compact dashcam. It has great features such as QuadHD recording quality, Sony Starvis night vision sensor and automatic parking mode. Furthermore, the WM1 features specifications such as Wifi and GPS.
Sony Starvis IMX335 5MP sensor
The Viofo WM1 records highly detailed videos thanks to the Sony Starvis IMX335 image sensor. As a result, recordings are of very high quality, especially at night. The camera records in 2560*1600 30fps but can also be set lower, such as at 1920*1080p 60fps. The lens is a 7G 1.8 aperture lens.
Automatic buffered parking mode
The Viofo WM1 QuadHD is equipped with automatic buffered parking mode motion detection or Time Lapse. For motion detection, the camera is on standby and starts buffering 15 seconds before and 30 seconds after a motion is detected.
Automatic parking mode works only if the dashcam is used with the Viofo Continuous power supply HK4 3-wire (optional accessory). If connected, the camera will automatically switch to parking mode when the car ignition is turned off and switch to normal recording when the car is started.
GPS included
The Viofo WM1 QuadHD comes with a cradle with built-in GPS module. The GPS allows the current speed to be displayed in the image. This can be decisive as evidence in an incident. The GPS also remembers the location of the places where the dashcam was filmed. Via the software on the PC, the route covered can therefore be viewed.
Optional CPL filter
The optional CPL filter ensures optimum protection and image quality under sunny conditions. The CPL filter works for the dashcam like Polaroid sunglasses for the eyes. Harmful UV rays are filtered out and annoying reflections are eliminated. This improves the image quality and durability of the camera.
Super capacitor battery
The Viofo QuadHD is equipped with a super capacitor battery. This battery ensures that the camera can properly shut itself down after power is lost. Super capacitor batteries are specially developed for use in dashcams because they are more durable than regular Polymer Li-ion batteries and are also more resistant to high and low temperatures.
Compact design
The Viofo WM1 QuadHD is a very sleek and compactly designed dashcam. It fits easily behind the car's interior mirror. As it is barely noticeable, it does not hinder the driver and also reduces the risk of theft.
Sticker mounting
The Viofo WM1 QuadHD has a holder that is attached to the windscreen with a sticker. The dashcam can be easily removed from this holder. The sturdy mounting prevents the dashcam from falling off the windscreen and also reduces image vibrations.
1.8 aperture 6G lens
With its 1.8 aperture and 6G lens, it captures a lot of light, ensuring very good image quality both during the day and in the dark.
HDR
HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology enables the camera to generate sharp images at very high and very low light intensities. As a result, the camera captures razor-sharp images in bright daytime and low light at night.
WDR
The Viofo WM1 QuadHD is equipped with WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) hardware. This allows the dashcam to automatically adjust the light intensity depending on the environment. The WDR thus guarantees the best image quality under varying conditions.
Auto start
The Viofo WM1 QuadHD dashcam starts filming automatically when the car is started. So you no longer need to look at it when it's hanging in the car. The prerequisite for this is that it is connected to the power supply in the car.
G-sensor
With its built-in G-sensor, the Viofo WM1 QuadHD dashcam notices when you've been in an accident. Upon impact, images are automatically stored securely so they are no longer lost. They can no longer be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.
Built-in microphone
The built-in microphone in this dashcam also records sound in and around the car. The microphone can be switched off if required
256gb support
Viofo WM1 QuadHD supports MicroSD cards up to 256gb. This is enough for around 50 hours of FullHD video.
