The Viofo A329 is Viofo's new flagship model. This dashcam is one of the first to film at 4K 60fps, providing very clear and smooth videos. Also a first is the ability to expand the memory with an external SSD memory (not included). Besides these new features, the Viofo A329 is equipped with very fast Wifi and GPS for the best connection.
4K 60fps + 2K
The Viofo A329 2CH is equipped with two cameras allowing recording both in front and behind the car. The 4K 60fps resolution at the front guarantees the sharpest and smoothest images. The Sony Starvis 2 sensor ensures excellent quality even in the dark. The rear camera films at 2K resolution.
The rear camera is connected to the front camera with a long supplied 6-metre cable. Images from the rear camera are stored separately on the SD card. The 2.4-inch HD LCD screen displays the rear camera on one-fourth of the screen via PiP (Picture in Picture).
Expandable SSD memory
The Viofo A329 2CH supports Micro SD cards up to 512gb but can be expanded with external SSD memory up to 4TB. About 18 hours of 4K + 2K videos can be stored on a 512gb SD card. With a 4T memory about 138 hours. Some tested SSD drives are those from Samsung, Sandisk and Western Digital. Besides an SSD drive, a USB flash drive can also be connected to the dashcam for extra memory.
Wifi 6
The Viofo A329 2CH is equipped with new super-fast Wifi6 (5GHz) technology making file transfer very fast and reliable. With Wifi 6, up to 30MB/s of data can be transferred. The Viofo App is available for iOS and Android.
CPL filter included
The included CPL filter for the front camera ensures optimal protection and image quality under sunny conditions. The CPL filter acts for the dashcam like Polaroid sunglasses for the eyes. Harmful UV rays are filtered out and annoying reflections are eliminated. For the rear camera, the CPL-500 filter is optionally available (see accessories).
Automatic parking mode
The Viofo A329 is equipped with an automatic parking mode with motion detection or Time Lapse. With motion detection, the camera is on standby and starts a 30-second recording when motion is detected. With Time Lapse, the camera continuously records a 1fps video that can later be played back (sped up) as 30fps video. This way, evidence is always available if the car has been damaged while parked.
Note: The automatic parking mode only works if the dashcam is used with the Viofo HK4 hardwire kit (see accessories). With that connected, the camera will automatically switch to parking mode when the car ignition is turned off and switch to normal recording when the car is started.
Bluetooth SOS button (optional)
With the handy optional Viofo A329 Bluetooth SOS button, a manual SOS recording can be started on the Viofo A329 2CH at the touch of a button. The SOS button can be easily connected to the Viofo A329 2CH by turning on the dashcam and pressing and holding the button for 3 seconds. The blue indicator LED on the button will illuminate blue if the connection is successfully established. The SOS button can be mounted anywhere within the vehicle using the sticker provided.
GPS module
The Viofo A329 2CH comes standard with a GPS module. The GPS allows the current speed to be displayed in the image. This can be decisive as evidence in case of an incident. In addition, the GPS keeps track of the locations where the dashcam was filmed. Via the software on the PC, the route travelled can therefore be viewed.
2.4-inch LCD screen
This Viofo A329 2CH dashcam has a 2.4-inch HD LCD screen. The screen displays live images and allows easy menu control. If desired, the built-in screensaver automatically turns off the LCD screen after a set number of minutes so it does not interfere with the driver.
140˚ + 160˚ wideview lens
With its 140˚ + 160˚ wideview ‘fish eye’ lens, the Viofo A329 2CH has a long range and captures almost everything in the environment.
HDR
HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology enables the camera to generate sharp images at both very high and very low light intensities. As a result, the camera captures razor-sharp images in bright daytime and low light at night.
WDR
The Viofo A329 2CH is equipped with WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) hardware. This allows the dashcam to automatically adjust the light intensity depending on the environment. The WDR thus guarantees the best image quality under varying conditions.
Auto start
The Viofo A329 2CH dashcam starts filming automatically when the car is started. So you no longer need to look at it when it's hanging in the car. The prerequisite for this is that it is connected to the power supply in the car.
G-sensor
With its built-in G-sensor, the Viofo A329 2CH dashcam notices when you've been in an accident. Upon impact, images are automatically saved securely so they are not lost. They can no longer be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.
Super capacitor battery
The Viofo A329 2CH is equipped with a super capacitor battery. This battery ensures that the camera can properly shut itself down after the power is lost. Super capacitor batteries are specially developed for use in dashcams because they are more durable than regular Polymer Li-ion batteries and are also more resistant to high and low temperatures.
Built-in microphone
The built-in microphone in this dashcam also records sound in and around the car. The microphone can be switched off if required
