The Vantrue Element 1 (E1) is the bigger brother of the Vantrue E1 Lite. It films in 2K (QuadHD) and comes with handy bluetooth SOS control. Like the Lite version, it is equipped with Wifi, GPS and an extended parking mode (when connected with the optional hardwire kit). With its super-small design, it won't look out of place in any car and is also barely noticeable.
2K (QuadHD) with HDR
This Vantrue E1 records in very sharp 2K QuadHD 2592*1944p footage at 25fps. You can also set the resolution lower at 2560*1440p. With HDR (High Dynamic Range), the contrast of the recordings is very good and the surroundings are recognisable even in the dark.
Bluetooth SOS button
The Vantrue E1 comes standard with a handy Bluetooth SOS button. You place this button anywhere in the car and with one push of the button you can take a photo and secure video or turn the dashcam's microphone on and off.
1.5-inch LCD screen
The Vantrue E1 is equipped with a small 1.5-inch LCD screen on which the recordings are visible and you can easily operate the menu. The screen has a screensaver that activates after 1 minute so it doesn't bother you while driving. You can also turn the screen on and off with the voice command ‘Turn on screen’ and ‘Turn off screen’.
Wireless 2.4gHz Wifi
Within range of the dashcam (+/- 5 metres), you can easily view the recorded videos on your smartphone via the Vantrue App for iOS or Android. The videos can be viewed live and you can download saved videos to your phone so you can share them directly. The menu is also easy to operate via the App to change settings very quickly.
GPS
The Vantrue E1 is equipped with GPS so that current speed and coordinates are tracked. The speed can be displayed at the bottom of each video if desired, and the film location and route can be viewed later via the App.
Voice control
The Vantrue E1 allows you to control the dashcam via (English-language) voice commands. Commands like ‘Make picture’, ‘Turn off screen’, ‘Turn on audio’ and ‘Lock the video’ allow you to use the dashcam safely while driving and not miss a single incident.
Automatic buffered parking mode
Vantrue offers the ability to secure your car while parking. Connect your Vantrue dashcam with the OBD or 3-wire hardwire kit to power the dashcam even when the car is switched off. The power supply transmits a signal to the dashcam as soon as you turn off the car so that parking mode is automatically enabled.
Parking mode works only in combination with the OBD or 3-wire hardwire kit. In this power supply there is a safety device that cuts the power at a certain voltage so you don't end up with a dead battery.
Vantrue has four recording modes during parking:
Motion detection: Motion detection (with adjustable sensitivity) where the dashcam is on standby until a visual movement is detected in the image. After this, it records 5 seconds before and 30 seconds after the incident.
Collision detection: Vibration detection (with adjustable sensitivity) where the dashcam switches off until a vibration is detected. It then turns on, records for 1 minute and turns off.
Low bitrate recording: Continuous recording in lower quality (720p or 1080p in 15fps) to save space on the SD card. As soon as a vibration is detected, normal 1-minute recording is started.
Time lapse recording: Continuous recording in 1fps, 5fps, 10fps or 15fps to save space on the SD card. At 1fps, a 30-minute period is played back in 1 minute. As soon as a vibration is detected, a normal 1-minute recording is started.
160˚ viewing angle
The Vantrue E1 has a wide viewing angle of 160 degrees to capture a very large area around the car.
Magnetic GPS holder
The Vantrue E1 attaches to the windscreen with a handy self-adhesive GPS holder with magnetic connection. The dashcam can be clicked in and out of this holder in one move. To use your Vantrue E1 in multiple cars, an additional GPS holder is available (see accessories).
Optional CPL filter
Attach the optional CPL (Polaroid) filter to your Vantrue dashcam to counteract annoying reflections from the dashboard or interior. The filter fits onto the dashcam in no time and is easily adjusted by turning it.
G-sensor
The Vantrue E1 has a built-in G-sensor. This sensor records vibrations in the event of a collision. The current video is stored securely in that case.
Loop recording
The Vantrue E1 is equipped with loop recording, which automatically overwrites the oldest images with new ones. Videos are stored in shorter fragments of 5 minutes and once the SD card is full, the oldest fragment is deleted.
Secure recordings (manually selected or detected by the G-sensor) are stored in a separate folder and are not deleted by loop recording. This way, you always have access to the latest and most important videos.
512gb support
Vantrue is one of the few dashcam brands with support for SD cards up to 512gb. With 512gb, you can store up to 108 hours (over 4 days) of FullHD videos. With higher resolution, the total recording time will be a bit shorter.
