This comprehensive Qvia R935 Duo is a great dashcam packed with great features. On the 3.5-inch IPS touchscreen LCD screen, all recordings are razor-sharp and the menu is easy to access. Image quality is second to none thanks to the SONY Exmor R sensor in the front and Exmor sensor in the rear camera. The Qvia R935 Duo is also one of the few cameras with a total storage capacity of 1024gb!
Note: Only a continuous power supply is supplied with this dashcam as standard. A cigarette power supply is optionally available (see accessories).
This Qvia R935 Duo has a bright 3.5-inch touchscreen LCD screen with 800x480 pixels. On the screen, all videos can be viewed live and recorded videos can be played back. Also, the LCD screen can be conveniently used to change menu settings. One-touch switching between the front and rear camera is possible, and both cameras can also be displayed simultaneously. This also makes the R935 Duo very useful as a reverse camera.
This Qvia R935 Duo has the ability to store videos in continuous parking mode using Time Lapse. Time lapse involves taking a picture every second, which can later be played back as accelerated video. The big advantage of time lapse is that a lot more data can be stored on the SD card. With the standard 32gb SD card, over 15 hours of videos can be stored in parking mode.
The Qvia R935 Duo can record footage in five different ways:
Regular recording: The regular recordings made by the camera are stored on the SD card in fragments of 3 or 5 minutes. When the SD card is full, the oldest images are automatically deleted and overwritten by new fragments.
Event recording: In the event of an impact, the built-in G-sensor is activated and the camera will make an event recording (indicated by a warning signal). the 10 seconds before the impact and 20 seconds after the impact are stored on the MicroSD securely and cannot be deleted by the camera.
Park recording: In parking mode, a 30-second fragment is stored on the regular SD card when a movement is detected. Again, the 10 seconds before and 20 seconds after detection are stored.
Continuous parking recording: In this mode, a picture is taken every second which can later be played back as a time lapse video. In this way, about 15 hours of video can be stored with a 32gb SD card.
Emergency recording: A manual 30-second Emergency recording can be started at the touch of a button and is saved on the MicroSD card.
This exceptional Qvia R935 Duo dashcam is equipped with the latest SONY Exmor R sensor in the front camera and the Exmor sensor in the rear camera. These sensors guarantee the very sharpest 1080p FullHD video quality, both front and rear so. The front camera records at 30fps with a 135-degree wide-angle lens. The rear camera has a 130-degree wide-angle lens and records images at 24fps.
The Qvia R935 Duo has two cameras to record a large area inside and/or around the car. The front camera mounts on the window or dashboard and is the main module. It contains all connections, the 3.5-inch touchscreen LCD screen and SD cards. The second camera of the Qvia R935 Duo, which can be attached to any location, is connected to the front camera by a long cable (cable 5 metres supplied). The images are simultaneously recorded on the SD cards and can be viewed on the 3.5-inch touchscreen LCD screen.
Like the other Qvia dashcams, the Qvia R935 Duo has exceptionally high storage capacity, up to 1024 gigabytes. It has one MicroSD slot for 512gb cards and one regular SD slot for 512gb cards. Regular and parking mode recordings are stored on the SD card. The MicroSD card is for event and manual ‘emergency’ recordings. So in practice, over 120 hours of regular recordings can be stored on the SD card and 120 hours of event and emergency recordings on the MicroSD card, totalling around 240 hours!
The R935 Duo comes standard with a 16gb SD and 8gb MicroSD card from Qvia. These Qvia SD cards are specially designed for use in Qvia cameras. They can withstand many read and write cycles and large temperature changes. In addition, they are fast enough to handle the large amount of data from FullHD recordings.
Thanks to the built-in GPS in the R935 Duo, all coordinates of the locations where is is stored. Also, the GPS allows the current speed to be displayed on screen.
The Qvia R935 Duo is capable of taking the best shots in all weather conditions by using interchangeable filters. As standard, the R935 comes with a 37mm UV filter. With the optional 37mm CPL filter, crisp clear shots can be taken even in sunny conditions. The CPL filter is like a pair of sunglasses for the lens, preventing harmful radiation from the sun and unwanted reflections in the image.
The handy format-free function in this Qvia R935 Duo dashcam eliminates the need to format SD cards. The software handles the formatting itself so that the SD cards and the camera always function and work together perfectly. Besides automatic formatting, this system also guarantees better SD card retention, fewer reading and writing errors and no data loss.
The smart Qvia R935 Duo dashcam has a built-in low voltage cut-off system. This system allows the dashcam to notice when the car's battery is about to run out and, if so, immediately turns off the camera. The minimum voltage can be set to take into account the type of car and season. Because of this built-in system, the R935 Duo can be used without worry to secure car when parked.
The Qvia R935 Duo has a security LED built into the front and rear camera. This can alert potential vandals that a dashcam is being filmed in the car. The LEDs can be switched on and off in the menu if desired.
By using the best materials and the most careful assembly, the Qvia R935 Duo can withstand extreme temperatures. The camera can operate at temperatures between -20˚C and +70˚C.
