This advanced FineVu GX35 dashcam is the perfect surveillance for your car. Both while driving and parking, this GX35 records everything around the car. The Cloud option allows you to connect to the camera from anywhere in the world and receive notifications on your phone. The very good 2K (QuadHD) resolution, Wifi and GPS makes this one of the better dashcams on the market.
The FineVu GX35 Cloud 2CH films with very sharp 2K (QuadHD) resolution. By using the latest Sony Starvis 2 IMX675 image sensor, the images are of exceptionally good quality even in the dark. The rear camera films at FullHD and they both record at 30 frames per second.
The rear camera is connected to the front camera with a long supplied 6-metre cable and also receives power via this cable, so no additional power supply is needed. For longer vehicles, a 9-metre cable for the rear camera is available (see accessories).
The best thing about this FineVu GX35 Cloud 2CH is the ability to connect to your dashcam from anywhere in the world. You can connect the FineVu GX35 to the internet via an in-car Wi-Fi hotspot. Via the FineVu App, you can then watch the dashcam live and receive notifications of events. This allows you to always keep an eye on your car, wherever you are.
To create an in-car Wi-Fi hotspot, you can use a Wi-Fi dongle or a mobile hotspot. Currently, the FineVu comes with a free Cloud subscription with 4GB of storage. All event recordings are stored in the Cloud with this. For unlimited Live view and push notifications, a paid subscription is available.
The FineVu GX35 Cloud 2CH is equipped with superfast 5.0GHz Wifi to allow images within a radius of about 5 to 10 metres to be viewed on your phone. Images can be viewed and downloaded via the freely available FineVu app, eliminating the need to remove the SD card from the camera. Note that connection to Wifi is only possible when Wifi is on on the dashcam, during parking mode it is automatically disabled.
The FineVu GX35 comes with an external GPS receiver. This GPS module allows speed to be displayed on screen and also saves the coordinates of the places filmed. Via the FineVu App, you can thus easily view the locations of videos later on.
The ADAS 2.0 system on this GX35 Cloud is a built-in ‘Advanced Driver Assistant System’. This system supports the driver while driving in two ways:
LDWS: ‘Lane Departure Warning System’ signals when you change lanes.
FVMA: ‘Forward Vehicle Moving Alarm’ gives a notification when during standstill the car in front of you starts moving.
*The ADAS system works better in some locations than others depending on the type of (highway) road. On narrow roads, for example, the LDWS system can trigger an alarm faster than on wide roads.
The FineVu GX35 Cloud 2CH has a convenient automatic Time Lapse parking mode function to secure the car when parked. In this Time Lapse mode, the camera takes two photos every second and this is later played back as accelerated video. In case of an impact, a normal video will be started so you can be sure that all the details of the incident are visible. In case of an impact during parking mode, you will receive a notification the moment you start the car. This allows you to secure the relevant video file.
Due to the Time Lapse mode, the videos do not take up too much space and can therefore be recorded for a very long time without filling up the SD card. Combined with the supplied Hardwire kit, parking mode automatically switches on when the car ignition is turned off and normal recording starts again when the car is started.
To use parking mode, the dashcam must be connected using the supplied hardwire kit with built-in low voltage cut-off system. This system allows the dashcam to notice when the car's battery is in danger of running low and, in that case, immediately turns off the camera. So you don't have to worry about ending up with a dead battery. The voltage can be set to 11.3/11.5/11.8/12.0/12.3V.
The FineVu GX35 Cloud 2CH supports MicroSD cards up to 256gb. It comes standard with a 32gb Micro SD card, this is good for about 5 hours of 2K recording (with rear camera about 3 hours).
It is also possible to use the optionally available cigarette power supply for easier installation. With this, the dashcam will automatically switch on and off with the car ignition. Please note that parking mode using the cigarette power supply will not work.
If you don't want to connect the dashcam to the car's fuse box but still want to use parking mode, you should use a Cellink Battery pack (see accessories). This charges while driving and regulates power when you turn off the car ignition.
This FineVu GX35 Cloud 2CH has a wide-angle lens of 147 degrees at the front and 140 at the rear. This captures a large area around the car without distorting the image too much.
This FineVu GX35 Cloud 2CH stores the super sharp video footage on the SD card with the latest H.265 HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding). In short, this means that the dashcam uses less memory than other FullHD dashcams. So the files are of the best quality but don't take up too much memory on the MicroSD card.
Thanks to the built-in G-sensor, the dashcam notices when you have had an accident. Upon impact, images are automatically saved securely so they are not lost. They can no longer be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.
The FineVu GX35 Cloud 2CH has a built-in microphone so that sound is also recorded. The microphone can also be switched off if required.
The current time and date are always displayed on screen so that the time at which the relevant recordings were made can be shown later.
