This DDPai N5 Dual is DDPai's new high-end 4K + FullHD model. This high-quality and comprehensive dashcams is equipped with the latest gadgets such as eMMC + SD memory and an advanced parking mode.
4K + FullHD videos
The image quality on this DDPai N5 Dual is outstanding by using the high-quality 8.0MP image sensor. The cameras film at 4K on the front and FullHD on the rear.
The rear camera is connected to the front dashcam with a long supplied 6-metre cable. The cameras record simultaneously and the videos are stored separately on the SD card.
DDPai Wifi
This DDPai N5 Dual is equipped with Wifi and can therefore be used with the DDPai app. The user-friendly app is convenient to operate and can be used to view live or saved footage and to change settings. Any firmware updates can also be conveniently performed via the app.
Automatic Time Lapse parking mode
The DDPai N5 Dual has a convenient automatic parking mode that can be used to secure the car when it is parked. The parking mode is automatically activated when no movement is detected for 15 minutes. The parking mode works with Time Lapse, which means a picture is taken every second that can later be played back as accelerated video. The advantage of parking mode with Time Lapse is that the recordings consume much less data and power than normal recordings. Moreover, people and license plates are still shown recognisably.
Note: The (automatic) parking mode works only in combination with the optional DDPai Continuous power supply USB-C to power the dashcam when the ignition is switched off.
Super capacitor battery
The DDPai N5 Dual is equipped with a super capacitor battery. This battery ensures that the camera can properly shut itself down after power is lost. Super capacitor batteries are specially developed for use in dashcams because they are more durable than regular Polymer Li-ion batteries and are also more resistant to high and low temperatures.
ADAS
The ADAS system on this DDPai N5 Dual is a built-in ‘Advanced Driver Assistant System’. This system supports the driver while driving in three ways:
FCWS: ‘Forward Collision Warning System’. This system issues a warning when approaching a vehicle in front at high speed. The system alerts, for example, when there is a traffic jam in front of the car.
LDWS: ‘Lane Departure Warning System’. When the car is in danger of changing lanes on the motorway, the camera can signal.
FVSA: ‘Forward Vehicle Start Alarm’. Do you also sometimes fail to pay attention when standing at traffic lights? This system gives a warning when a vehicle ahead starts to move away, for example at a traffic light or in a traffic jam.
*The ADAS system works better in some locations than others depending on the type of (highway) road. On narrow roads, for example, the LDWS system can issue an alert faster than on wide roads.
WDR
The DDPai N5 Dual is equipped with WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) to improve image quality. Especially in conditions with very high or very low light, WDR ensures that image quality is still good.
140˚ wideview lens
This N5 Dual has a wide-angle lens of 140 degrees at the front and 125 degrees at the rear. This allows a very large area to be observed, not only in front of the car but also in the surrounding area. The aspect ratio of 16:10 also makes the viewing angle even wider than other dashcams with a ratio of, say, 3:4.
32gb eMMC + 512gb Micro SD support
The advanced memory technology on this DDPai N5 Dual ensures that you don't miss anything and minimises the chance of storage errors. The dashcam has a backup 32gb eMMC internal memory that kicks in when the SD card can't be used for a while. Micro SD cards the N5 Dual supports up to 512gb, good for about 50 hours of videos.
Auto start
The DDPai N5 Dual dashcam automatically starts filming when the car is started and stops filming when the car is turned off. So you don't have to look at it while it's hanging in the car.
G-sensor
With its built-in G-sensor, the dashcam notices when you've had an accident. Upon impact, images are automatically stored securely so they are not lost. They can no longer be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.
Low-voltage cut-off protection
In combination with the DDPai N5 Dual hardwire kit, the DDPai N5 Dual has the option to set a voltage at which the dashcam switches off when the car battery falls below this voltage. The voltage can be set to 12.4V, 12.0V and 11.8V.
Built-in microphone
The DDPai N5 Dual has a built-in microphone so that sound is also recorded. The microphone can also be switched off if required.
Date and time recording
The current time and date are always displayed on screen so that it can later be shown at what time the relevant recordings were made.
