This Botslab G980H Pro is Botslab's flagship model. This powerful and stylish dashcam is equipped with every possible feature to record all your journeys and parking maneuvers. It films in razor-sharp 4K + 2K and is equipped with Wifi and GPS. Connect it with the hardwire kit to also use it as parking security when you are not around.
The Botslab G980H Pro makes great recordings using Sony image sensors. These super powerful sensors guarantee the sharpest images and are unrivaled, especially in the dark. The videos are recorded in 4K (3840p) resolution on the front and 2K on the back.
The Botslab G980H Pro dashcam comes standard with a 2K rear camera. This rear camera is mounted on the inside of the rear window and records in 2K resolution. The rear camera is connected to the front dashcam with a long cable (6 meters). No additional power supply is needed for the camera. The images from both cameras are stored separately on the SD card. A 3-meter extension cable is available as an option.
This Botslab G980H Pro dashcam comes with a sturdy adhesive mount for attaching the camera to the windshield. The camera can be removed from the mount and replaced with a single slide. This makes it easy to remove the dashcam from the car.
The G980H dashcam has a compact but clear LCD screen for easy operation. The screen displays live images and settings can be changed. You can also easily watch recorded videos. The screen can be turned off with a screensaver while driving to avoid hindering you too much while driving.
The Botslab G980H Pro is equipped with superfast 5.8GHz Wifi, allowing for faster video downloads. The Wifi has a range of about 10 meters and the Botslab App is available for Android and iPhone phones. Settings can also be easily changed via the App.
The dashcam can be operated by means of voice control. The following actions, among others, are supported:
- Lock the video: Save video securely
- Take photo: Take photo
- Turn on/off Wifi: Turn Wifi on or off
- Turn on/off screen: Turn screen on or off
The Botslab G980H Pro has a handy automatic time lapse and vibration parking mode to secure the car while parked. In time lapse mode, the camera takes a photo every second, which is later played back as an accelerated 30fps video. Time lapse recordings are slightly less detailed and therefore take up less data on the SD card.
The vibration parking mode ensures that a normal video is recorded in the event of a collision or other vibration. These incidents are therefore recorded in detail.
Please note: To use parking mode, a connection to the Botslab hardwire kit is required. Parking mode cannot be turned on or off manually.
The G980H Pro 4K Wifi GPS dashcam has a built-in GPS module. This GPS module displays the speed and also keeps track of the coordinates of the locations where the video was filmed. This allows you to use the included software to see exactly where certain recordings were made.
This Botslab G980H Pro can support the driver by providing warnings in dangerous situations. A warning will be given in the following situations, if desired:
FCWS: Forward Collision Warning System. This system issues a warning when a vehicle is approaching at high speed. For example, the system will sound an alarm if there is a traffic jam ahead of the car. With a good GPS signal, the current speed is known and the camera can make a good assessment of the situation around the car.
LDWS: Lane Departure Warning System. The camera can give a signal when the car is in danger of changing lanes on the highway.
PCW: Pedestrian collision warning. Gives a warning when a pedestrian is too close to the car.
FCD: Front car departure warning. Gives a warning if the car in front of you has pulled away but you are still standing still, for example at a traffic light.
This G980H Pro comes with a 64GB Micro SD card, good for about 6 hours of 4K + 2K recording. It supports Micro SD cards up to 256GB, which means it can store about 24 hours of footage.
This G980H Pro 4K Wifi GPS has a wide-angle lens of 170 degrees at the front and 150˚ at the back. This means that a large part around the car is recorded so that every situation is properly captured.
Place the optional Botslab CPL filter on the G980H Pro to prevent harmful and annoying reflections in the image. The filter prevents reflections from the sun and the dashboard, making the videos even sharper.
The Botslab G980H Pro dashcam automatically starts filming when the car is started and stops filming when the car is turned off. So you no longer have to keep an eye on it when it is in the car.
The built-in G-sensor allows the dashcam to detect when you have had an accident. In the event of an impact, images are automatically saved to a secure location so they cannot be lost. They can no longer be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.
The G980H Pro dashcam has a built-in microphone so that sound is also recorded. The microphone can also be turned off if desired.
The current time and date are always displayed on the screen so that it can be shown later at what time the recordings in question were made.
