Taxi dashcams are basically standard dashcams with a second interior camera focused on the inside of the car. A Taxi dashcam therefore acts as a normal dashcam and simultaneously keeps an eye on the inside of the car. Some Taxi dashcams have both cameras incorporated into one dashcam, other Taxi dashcams come with separate second dashcam that is connected to the standard dashcam (which films the road) via a short cable. There are also Taxi dashcams with Infrared LEDs on the interior camera so that the image is of good quality even in the dark.
